A little about me

Star Trek aficionado, Wild West lover, and horror film buff.

You might have seen in my Work section that I have a love of comic books. Above, you can see that even more. If you've ever seen the show Supergirl, here I am with Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath), Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh), and my wife Kelsey.

Its been wedding season lately for my friends and family so my wife and I have been dressing up lately (you can see our height difference here). Also recently got to visit with some friends from college and a special guest Frankie the dog. And finally a picture of me with my late dog Yuki.

In my articles section (on the homepage), I did an exploration of AI tools. The project, however, is a passion project between my wife and I. Since the pandemic started, we've been watching horror films at night and we've accumulated a decent list of about 80 or so films we highly recommend. Below you can read some testimonials that have been gathered from past perfomance reviews, company awards, and surveys I gather for design team satisfaction results.

Testimonials

Eric, you've led the charge on many highly visible and challenging design engagements. Features that have a dramatic and wide effect on many users of our platform. I know it's been difficult at times, and I appreciate the flexible and pragmatic approach I've seen you take with various teams. You've also developed your domain knowledge, which has enabled you to ramp quickly and provide immediate benefit to teams you work with.

You've confronted a fair amount of uncertainty and volatility within your projects all while structural changes to our design system/org structure have swirled around you. During that time, you've also managed to forge effective collaborations with product managers and other designers on our team.

~Jonathan S. UX Manager

Eric, our designer, has always been responsive and open to feedback. The regular design reviews and meetings helped keep everyone on the same page. I appreciate the clear communication channels and Eric's willingness to incorporate feedback from various stakeholders.
