Or, we all live in The Matrix and those that have escaped are still fighting the machines. But, I will go a step further back and think of my first introduction to AI. Lieutenant commander Data, second in command of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701D. For my fellow Star Trek fans, the memory of Data is a fond one, not scary in the slightest.
